journals can be out of character or in character. we ask that you have a full biography of three paragraphs or 10 facts in addition to your character's basic information, and that you have both an ic and ooc post that are backdated. we are only accepting 21+ pbs and characters for this community. we encourage you to use the resources available for layouts and icons.

one post a month will be required for activity. it must be open to the community with comments enabled, and you must respond to those comments for it to count. acceptable activity is anything that gets you interacting with others. we all lead busy lives, but our requirements should be easy to fulfill. we will not grant extensions on monthly activity. unless you are on hiatus, you should be able to manage one post a month. of course, we encourage our members to post multiple times throughout the month. activity is what makes a community thrive. your introduction counts as your first month's activity requirement, and the activity cycle will run from the first day of the month to the last. end of month removals will take place on the first day of the next month. we may periodically post an activity check-in on the friends page to clear dead weight.

a hiatus of up to four weeks may be granted. if your character is on hiatus, you will not be subject to removal for outdated friends lists or activity checks. real life comes first and you should not be required to worry about role-play, but we will not grant a hiatus for any longer than four weeks. when you return from a hiatus, we will require that your friends list be updated and that you post within 48 hours of your return.

we all know the basic rules at this point: don't god-mod, don't harass others, don't be an asshole. we will not attempt to enforce a character limit, but if it is discovered that someone is using multiple characters to manipulate play, they will be banned. we strongly suggest that you stay out of anonymous journals. don't let them ruin your fun. this is just a hobby!
